The Mus ic Explos ion was a garage rock band from Mansfield, Ohio best known for their top Ten hit, "Little Bit O'So ul", in 1967. The single peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. They were discovered and signed by the producers Jerry Ka senetz and Je ff Katz. Kasen etz, Kat z and Elliot Chi prut produced the song "Little Bit O'So ul", which paved the way for bubblegum pop bands like Ohio Expre ss and 1910 Fruitg um Company. The song was a million seller (La urie Records #338 0, subsequently reissued on Budda h Records) but was the band's only hit. It was written by John Carte r and Ken Lew is, who went on to write big hits for The Ivy Leag ue and Herman's Herm its. Lead singer Jamie L yons also recorded several solo singles on Laur ie while still recording with the group. His first single, "Soul Strutt in'" became a Northern Soul hit in several Northeast regions. Lyo ns died of heart failure at his home in Little River, SC on September 25, 2006. He was 57.

The chart is flipped because I play on lefty mode. WOOOOOO! This is the first FC of Painkiller on expert drums, and this is definitley my greatest accomplishment to date. I'm really suprised about 2 things, one, that this only took me about 2 hours of tries, and two, I didn't choke once, and I'm the guy who choked 6 seperate times at the end of Tom Sawyer, so yeah, heh. ENJOY! I'd just like to say one thing about my foot pedal, I'm not lightly tapping it, that's as far as it goes down. There's a beater you can't see that prevents it from going down any further. And lastly, I'm wearing a damn sock, my foot isn't some sort of freakish white color.

The Romanian royal court, army and administration were forced to retreat into Moldavia (Moldova). He contributed to the tactics used during the Battle of Mărăşeşti (July-August 1917). The Romanian Army, instructed by the French Mission, and led by General Alexandru Averescu managed to stop the advance of the German Army headed by Field Marshal Mackensen. Ion ANTONESCU was both observer and coordinator for the historic Battle of Mărăşti-Oituz. However, in late 1917 the Russian revolution took place. Soviet Russia soon made peace with Germany, leaving Romania the only enemy of the Central Powers on the Eastern Front. In these conditions, the Romanian government signed, and the parliament ratified the Treaty of Bucharest, 1918 with Germany and her allies. In 1918, Romania broke the treaty, on the grounds that the King, Ferdinand I of Romania, did not sign the treaty. Re-entering the war with a re-organized army, Romania was able to support the decisions of the National Romanian Council which ultimately result in the Union of Transylvania with Romania. Upon reaching the river Tisa, King Ferdinand took his own decoration and gave it to lieutenant-colonel Antonescu saying: "Antonescu, no one in this country knows better than the King how much they owe you." After the war, Antonescu's merits as an operations officer were noticed by among others, Ion Duca, who wrote that "his intelligence, skill and activity, brought credit on himself and invaluable service to the country". From 1923, he was also the Romanian attaché in London and Brussels. In Paris, Antonescu negotiated a credit worth 100 million francs in order to buy French weaponry. General Antonescu was appointed Prime Minister by King Carol II on September 4, 1940, after Romania was forced to surrender Bessarabia and northern Bukovina to the USSR (June 28, 1940) and the northern half of Transylvania to Hungary (August 30, 1940), and three days before the Cadrilater was transferred to Bulgaria (September 7, 1940). Beverly Hills Cop theme (by Harold Faltermeyer) performed on an Alesis ION (analog modeling synthesizer) and Roland Juno 106 (digitally controlled analog synthesizer). I had to simplify the left hand a little bit during the "chords" part cause otherwise it would have required a few hours of practice and I couldn't be bothered ;) The first part of the song is played as transcribed in a "Synthesizer Greatest" music book I bought when I was about 13-year old (early 90's), i.e. in E with a slightly different bass line than the original. P.S.: I know the original song is in F. The music book has the song transcribed in E so I learnt to play it in E without checking the original track.

Using the Oscillator Sync feature on the Ion. Both oscillators use Square waves. You first hear Osc 1 (transposed 1 octave lower) and then I turn up the level knob for Osc 2 (transposed 1 octave higher, and full pitch modulated by LFO 2 at approx 2,3% with a 0,7-Hz rate). I also use the Unison mode to beef up the sound (4-voice unison, detuned by 5 semitones). The filter is wide open, and set on "Ob 2-Pole LowPass". The music is a free adaptation (not 100% accurate) of the theme by Harold Faltermeyer for the movie "Fletch" featuring Chevy Chase.

Fostul preşedinte al României a fost huiduit şi agresat verbal de către un bărbat de 78 de ani. Mai mult, acesta a aruncat cu ouă în Iliescu. Bătrânul a fost imobilizat imediat de ofiţerii SPP şi a fost reţinut de poliţie. La câteva ore după incidentul din Piaţa Revoluţiei, fostul preşedinte a fost huiduit şi la manifestările din faţa Televiziunii Române.
