Radha-Madhava darsan in ISKCON Mayapur temple

every morning at 7 am the altars at ISKCON Mayapur temple are openning to devotees and public to have darsan (audience) with the Deities. Priests are offering mirrow to Radha-Krishna and their associates, gopis, and sprinkling scent. During Chandan Yatra Krishna (normally black) appears to be white due to being covered with chandan (sandal wood paste).

Herein are interviews with a few Hare Krishna devotees and they outline some of the history of ISKCON in South Africa. If you ever go to South Africa don't miss out on a visit to The Temple Of Understanding in Chatsworth, near Durban. Chatsworth is a maze, and driving yourself there is not recommended. On this day 11 years back Sri Sri Radha Krishna Chandra Sri Sri Krishna Balaram, Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga, Srt Sri Srinivasa Govinda and Sri Sri Prahlada Narasimha appeared on this hillock in Bangalore and the whole Brahmotsava festival is to mark the appearance of the deities annually. On this special day of the actual appearance of the beautiful deities of Bangalore temple Lord Brahma the foremost person of this universe, himself comes to carry the lord on his vahana. So come have a look at this wonderful ratha being pulled by the ecstatic devotees and also for the dolotsava we had the famous singer of karnataka Sri Vidyabhusana who sang great devotional songs composed by the famous saint Purandara Dasa, one of the exalted devotees of Purandara vittala of the famous Vittala temple of Pandharpur.

Vani devi dasi (age ~13) sings a beautiful Hare Krishna Mantra tune at New Raman Reti's Sunday Love Feast. ISKCON has a free vegetarian love feast every Sunday. These were the instructions of Founder/Acharya A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada and it is a success to be sure. Some children do come. Now for the teens . . . Vani dasi is the daughter of Nirmala dasi and Devarsi das. She is a jewel in our community. I look forward to her coming forward more and sharing her talents. Amazing abhisheka of all the deities of Iskcon Bangalore at one shot at one altar. A sight to behold indeed. All the deities were brought to the main temple hall which included RadhaKrishnachandra, Krishna Balaram, Krishna Rukmini Satyabhama, Narasimha and Nitai Gauranga. This Abhisheka is called Churna Abisheka or the abhisheka with cool and fragrant water. All the deities were offerred a elaborate abhisheka. We are now reaching the culmination of all the Brahmotsava festivities of 2008 with only the boat festival and the lowering of garuda Insignia remaning and this will be done tomorrow that is on the 30th of april which mark the end of Brahmotsava 2008.
